Party time

Today was our final day at school so we ended it with a party.
Thank you to all our families who sent food in for us to share.
1/2DW, We have had a wonderful year and Mrs Downes and I have loved teaching everyone of you. You have all worked so hard and have learned so much. We are very proud of you and hope that you have a wonderful Christmas and holiday.
Thank you to all the parents for your support and encouragement. It has been s pleasure getting to know you all.
We look forward to seeing you all again at MACC in 2013.

Gold Award Party

Today we had the Gold Award Party at lunchtime. There were fun games and prizes followed by Pizza!!!

Presentation Night

Last night Mount Annan Christian College held their Junior School Presentation Night.

What a beautiful occasion to celebrate 2012.
Thank you all for your outstanding behaviour. Mrs Wadds and I were so impressed.


Those of you in the Worship Group should also be proud. You gave up so many lunchtimes and I believe it paid off! You sounded amazing.

Congratulations to all the students. It was very difficult to choose who received the various awards and we are very proud of you all.

To the Gold Award recipients, your behaviour has been constantly outstanding this year and this award is not easy to achieve. Congratulations!

Thank you to the amazing parents who continue to support our class. We are constantly grateful for your support.

Presentation Night

Presentation Night will be held this coming Monday the 10th December.

Students are asked to arrive at 6pm to be seated, ready to begin at 6:15pm sharp. Please wear full summer school uniform -

NO hats or blazers are required. Please note this a compulsory event.


We can't wait to share this special night with you. We will be celebrating achievements in a variety of areas this year and the Worship Group will be performing.

If you keep your eyes on the screen, you may just see yourself!

The mystery of the missing Christmas tree.

1/2DW have been so excited about Christmas and have been desperate for a Christmas tree in the classroom. Mrs Downes and Mrs Wadds were certain they had one but after weeks of searching could not find it anywhere.
We did not miss out though and now have a very special tree in our room...one we made ourselves. Each of us made a decoration to go on our tree and worked together to get it looking right. We still have a few more decorations to add but it looks great and we love it!

Skipping

Today 1H, 1/2DW, 2F were joined by some peer leaders for skipping.
We had running, bell, skier, criss-cross, long rope and backwards skipping.

The peer leaders from 3/4W did a wonderful job and the students enjoyed having a variety of 'teachers' for skipping!

Lachlan, Joshua, Kaitlyn, Sian, Emily A, Eliza were all NED award winners. Well done!

Who Can Keep a Secret?

Who can keep a secret?! 1/2DW can!

Today I was so surprised and blessed to have the gorgeous parents, class and Mrs Wadds throw me a surprise baby shower!

I was so surprised! It was the most wonderful afternoon and I feel blessed.

Thank you for Eliana's mum Karen for organising this special afternoon.

Thanks to Mrs Wadds, Mrs Rose, Mrs Minogue, Mrs Willes, Mr Warwick, Mrs Ewin and Mrs Holland for helping out.

Thank you to the amazing parents who sent in food and gorgeous presents. I am so thankful for each and every one of you!

Last but not least to my beautiful class whom I will miss dearly, you have made me feel so happy! Your excitement towards my new baby boy makes me even more excited and I can't wait to bring him in next year for you all to see him.

Birthday 'tea'

Today we celebrated Eliana's birthday. Eliana brought in some special treats shaped like tea cups for us all to share. We had a lot of fun pretending to drink our 'tea' and even more fun eating it!
Some of our girls spent their whole lunch time practising a dance for Eliana by spelling her name. It was a happy day.
1/2DW are so thoughtful!

Sink or Float?

Today 1/2DW did another Science experiment! We had to guess what would sink or float and then test it out!

It was so much fun and there was lots of conversation around the water trays about things that sink or float and why.
