Tessellations

1/2DW have been learning about tessellations. A tessellation is made using a shape to make a pattern that has no gaps.
We used different 2D shapes to explore which shapes tessellate and those that do not. We then made patterns using the shapes that do tessellate.
Some tessellating patterns can be found in a bee hive and on a brick wall.
Can you find tessellating patterns in your home? (hint: look in the bathroom!)
