3D shapes continue...

A big part of learning in Maths is hands on activities. Today we used a variety of activities to draw and make 3D shapes. Hands on activities also promotes Maths related dialogue.

3D shapes

What is a 3D shape?

What 3D shapes can roll?

What 3D shapes can slide?

Have you ever played with a 3D shape?

These are the questions we have been asking this week as we explore 3D shapes.

We have been looking at 3D shapes and their properties. Today we looked at the top view, front view and side view of a variety of shapes.

Using 3D blocks helps us to learn more about 3D shapes. Our teachers are so impressed with how much we know about three dimensional shapes.

Where can you find 3D shapes in your environment?
