Workers in our Community

Today, we had Mr Willes, a student in our class' dad, come in to 1/2DW as a guest speaker,to tell us about his roles and responsibilities at work. Mr Willes' job is to design telephones and modems. He brought in an old telephone that had been pulled apart and showed us all of its parts. He also taught us about what makes up a telephone. We then had a turn at calling each other on some phones Mr Willes had set up and linked together. Thank you Mr Willes for taking time out of your day to teach us about what you do.
1/2DW, what are some things you learned from Mr Willes? What makes up a telephone?

  2. I am pleased that I was able to share with 12DW a love of gadgets. Some of the phones were old, but they show how a phone works. The class was very well behaved and it was a pleasure to speak to you. I hope that some of you will want to design things. Mr Willes
