Homework-Mathletics

This term we are going to include Mathletics tasks in our homework. Each student will be given a username and password to sign in to Mathletics. We use Mathletics because it is a different way for students to learn about Maths. In previous years students have been engaged and motivated to learn
when using Mathletics in the classroom and at home.

If you do not have access to a computer, let Mrs Wadds or Mrs Downes know and we can print you out a Mathletics sheet so your child will still be completing similiar tasks.

Each student will be bringing home their username and password on Monday 20th February and a sheet explaining how to access Mathletics from home.

How do I login to MATHLETICS?

·        Go to www.mathletics.com.au

·        Go to the sign in section at the top right hand section of the page

·        Type in your child’s

 username

password

·        You should see a message that reads

You have been assigned a task which must be completed, prior to working on other parts of the program.

·        Ask your child to complete the 3 tasks. You may need to read some instructions. If you feel that 3 tasks are too many, just have your child attempt as many as they can and write a note to your child’s teacher on the homework sheet.

·        Students can also design their picture on Mathletics and rehearse their times tables in the Times tables Toons section. These are optional activities.

·        See your child’s teacher if you have any questions or comments.
