Read to self

We are trying so hard to read to ourselves for longer in 1/2DW. Our record so far is 4 minutes.
Read To Self

Why is it important that we read to ourselves?

·         To become a better reader
·         To learn some new things
·         It is fun and we get to look at pictures
·         It gives us time to think
·         To learn more about different topics
  What does Reading to Self look like?

Students
Teacher
·         Concentrating
·         Looking at the book
·         Not talking to anyone
·         Staying in the one place
·         Reading the whole time
 
·         Reading with a group
·         Reading with a child
·         Listen to children read
·         Helping students with reading strategies
