This year 1/2DW are involved in Quadblogging.
What is Quadblogging?
"QuadBlogging: To deliver electrical energy of a global audience to the heart of a blog to allow a rhythm of excitement to kick via the blog’s widening global audience.
Imagine four schools that had a partnership/agreement that would mean that for a four week cycle, each school’s blog would be the focus for one week out of four. Each school in the Quad would spend some time visiting the blog of the school for that week, leave comments etc. After that week, another one of the four schools would be the focus and this would be repeated for the four week cycle and then repeated. It wouldn’t take the pupils long to work out that during their week, they would get a boost in visitor numbers and comments. This would give a real focus to have posts online ready for this bulge in visits. During the other three weeks, pupils get to visit and comment on other blogs in their quad. Pupils being pupils, they would also venture out of the quads and visit other blogs that are linked." Taken from quadblogging.net
We have linked with 3 other classes and we will be looking at other blogs and learning about other parts of the world. It is very exciting!
Here are the blogs if you want to have a look at home.

We're super looking forward to quadblogging with you! I really like your reading photos.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! We are enjoying looking at your class blog!
DeleteThis is such a great idea. Kaitlyn was so excited yesterday telling me about a school's playground they saw in England and 'guess what Mum? It was covered in snow'. :)
ReplyDeleteIt is a great idea isn't it? The students LOVED seeing how other students were spending their days. It opened up a great conversation about where the students were born or where they have travelled too!
DeleteThanks for your feedback. It's fantastic to hear that Kaitlyn is chatting to you about her day too!
We are so Happy that Zack is in an exellent learning environment, and being led by 2 fantastic teachers. We are so blessed that they take the time care for and nurture our little man giving him the reassurance that he might need.
ReplyDeleteScott and Nuria :)

Dear Craig and Karin,
ReplyDeleteThank you for your lovely comments. We are having so much fun in 1/2DW and love hearing that students are wanting to come to school. What a lucky girl Sian is to have travelled already! We are having a wonderful time exploring different countries around the world in art and in filling out our passports. It is such an adventure!
