Wow we've started 2012!

Well today was the second day of 2012 for 1/2DW. We have had a great first few days and not even the rain could dampen the enthusiasm in our classroom. We have started learning about the Daily 5 and we are trying each day to 'Read to ourselves' for longer each day. We are very excited to see what this year has in store for 1/2DW.     Hello Class 3 and Miss Folland,
    In the Daily 5 we are learning about 5 activities to help us become better readers and writers.
    They are
    * Read to Someone
    * Listen to Reading
    * Read to Self
    * Work on Writing
    * Word Work

    In read to self we must find a book we like and we are trying to read for longer each day.
